Good Day
I just had a really good day today.
Overcame lesson-plan-block in the morning and got stuff ready for next week
Went to my friend’s open class at another high school with my coteacher
Took our sweet time returning to work, giving ourselves an extra hour off for a nice lunch and great conversation
Didn’t have to cancel either of my classes thanks to the school’s church service, so I got to teach 2 second grade classes I hadn’t seen in four weeks
Was berated by a disappointed second grade boy whose class hasn’t met with me in four weeks because of exams/holidays/etc. He expressed his anger in true, dramatic Korean teenager fashion (GAAAAAAH TEACHEEERRRR!!! WHYYYYY??)
Ended the day with my favorite class (shhh don’t tell)
Enjoyed the gloomy weather from inside my warm apartment, catching up on shows
All leading into what is looking to be a good (birthday) weekend! My first weekend staying in Daegu for… four weeks? Even though it looks like a busy weekend, not having to travel and getting to sleep in my own bed has me pretty relaxed!
